THE HIDEAWAY - ORGANIC HOMESTEAD CLUB
& TINY HOUSE VILLAGE
Local, Organic, Soverign.

🌱 About the Organic Homestead Club
This land is dedicated to one mission:
Building local food sovereignty through shared, hands-on participation.
We do that by:
-
Growing Organic Food
-
Developing people who know how to grow it
-
Working together as a system
This is not a retreat.
This is not passive tiny house living.
This is the start of a working organic homestead community.
🧭 What We’re Building
We are developing a small-scale, decentralized homestead made up of:
-
Individual growers
-
Animal stewards
-
Makers and producers
-
Support members
Each person contributes to the whole.
Instead of one farmer trying to do everything,
we bring together people who each take responsibility for a piece.
Think:
-
The market gardener
-
The chicken keeper
-
The greenhouse grower
-
The goat or dairy steward
-
The person who brings products to market
Together, this becomes a functioning local food system.
🏡 Living on the Land
There are a limited number of spaces available:
-
8 tiny house lots
-
(1) 2 Bedroom Apartment
-
(2) Bedrooms in a shared Home
These are reserved for people who are serious about participating.
Living here means:
-
Being part of the homestead
-
Being part of the system
-
Showing up consistently
🔧 Two Ways to Participate
1. Live / Work (For Builders & Entrepreneurs)
You take ownership of a farm-based activity.
Examples:
-
Managing a garden or crop system
-
Raising animals
-
Running a greenhouse
-
Producing cottage-law goods
-
Supporting agritourism or homestead operations
In return:
-
Discounted rent
-
Access to land, tools, and shared infrastructure
-
The ability to build something of your own within a larger system
This is for people who:
-
Are self-starters
-
Want to build a livelihood (or part of one)
-
Are willing to take responsibility
2. Live / Volunteer (For Support Members)
You live on the land and support those running operations.
Commitment:
-
Minimum one full day per week contributing to the farm
In return:
-
Full access to the community
-
Opportunity to learn hands-on
-
Participation in forming a functioning food system
This is for people who:
-
Want to be involved but are not leading an operation
-
Value organic food and shared work
-
Are willing to show up consistently
🤝 Why This Exists
Homesteading is hard work. Especially, if you are doing it alone.
It’s hard to:
-
Take a day off
-
Scale production
-
Cover every skill needed
-
Stay profitable
We believe it works better when done together.
By sharing:
-
Labor
-
Land
-
Knowledge
-
Infrastructure
We create something that is:
-
More resilient
-
Financially sustainable
-
More human
🌾 Food Sovereignty
We prioritize:
-
Organic growing practices
-
No synthetic pesticides or herbicides
-
Local production for local consumption
This is about:
-
Knowing where your food comes from
-
Being able to produce it
-
Not depending entirely on outside systems
⚠️ Who This Is (and Isn’t) For
This is for you if:
-
You care deeply about your food and how it’s grown
-
You want to participate, not just observe
-
You can work independently and with others
-
You show up and follow through
This is not for you if:
-
You’re looking for a quiet rental or vacation spot
-
You don’t want to work or contribute
-
You prefer convenience over responsibility
-
You’re not interested in farming or food systems
🌿 The Bigger Vision
This is the beginning of a larger model:
An Organic Farm Club where:
-
People live on land
-
Produce food and goods
-
Trade, barter, and collaborate
-
Sell surplus to the local market
Over time, this may expand to include:
-
Education
-
Agritourism
-
Wellness practices
-
Off-site membership
But it all starts here:
With people willing to grow food together.
