🧭 Two Ways to Live on the Land

We offer two on-site pathways:
 

🌾 1. Live / Work

(For Growers, Builders, and Entrepreneurs)

This is for people who want to run something real on the land.

You might:

• Manage a garden or crop system

• Raise chickens or livestock

• Operate a greenhouse

• Produce cottage-law goods

• Support farm operations or agritourism

What you receive:

• Discounted rent

• Access to land and shared infrastructure

• Opportunity to build a livelihood

• A community that supports your work

What is expected:

• You take ownership of your operation

• You show up consistently

• You contribute to the overall system

👉 This is a self-starter role.
You are not being managed—you are building.
 

🤝 2. Live / Volunteer

(For Support Members)

This is for people who want to live in the environment and contribute, without running an operation.

Your commitment:

• Minimum 1 full day per week working on the homestead

• Supporting Live/Work members and shared tasks

What you receive:

• A place to live within a working homestead community

• Hands-on learning opportunities

• Access to fresh, locally grown food

• Participation in a shared system

• Value organic food

• Want to be involved

• Are willing to show up consistently
   

🏡 Living Spaces

We currently offer:

• 50amp lots to place your own Tiny House on wheels.

• Two-bedroom apartment.

• One-bedroom in main farm house with shared space.

• Shared housing options.

Availability is limited and prioritized for those aligned with the mission.
 

💰 Rates & Structure

Because this is a membership-based system, pricing is structured differently than traditional rentals.

Live / Volunteer

• Standard lot rent $540/mo Plus Electric

• Weekly labor contribution (8hrs)

Live / Work

• Reduced rent $360/mo plus electric

• Potential percentage contribution from farm-related income

Membership

All residents must join the Organic Homestead Club as members.

(Membership details are discussed during the application process.)

This is NOT:

• Short-term lodging

• A vacation rental

• Passive tiny house living
